Istighfar and repentance

رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي: قَالَ قَدْ غَفَرْتُ لَكَ، وَأَلْزَمْتُ عَارَهَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ، قَالَ يَا رَبِّ، كَيْفَ وَأَنْتَ الْحَكَمُ الْعَدْلُ لَا يَظْلِمُ أَحَدًا، أَنَا أَعْمَلُ الْخَطِيئَةَ وَتُلْزِمُ عَارَهَا غَيْرِي، فَأَوْحَى اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ، إِنَّكَ لَمَّا عَمِلْتَ الْخَطِيئَةَ لَمْ يُعَجِّلُوا عَلَيْكَ بِالْإِنْكَارِ.

Lord, forgive me. Allah says: I have forgiven you, but I have imposed the shame of this sin upon the Children of Israel. The servant says: O Lord, how is this possible when You are the Just Judge who oppresses no one? It is I who committed the fault, and it is to another that You bring dishonor! Then Allah revealed to him: When you committed this sin, they did not immediately express their disapproval.

أسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ الَّذي لا إِلهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الحَيَّ القَيُّومَ وأتوب إليه ثلاث مَرَّاتٍ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ ذُنُوبَهُ وَل

I seek forgiveness from Allah, besides Whom there is no god, the Ever-Living, the Self-Subsisting, and I repent to Him. (Repeat three times) May Allah forgive his sins.

I seek forgiveness from Allah, there is no god but Him, the Ever-Living, the Self-Subsisting, and I repent to Him three times. Allah forgives his sins.
