الْمَوَدَّةُ
This verse invites us to contemplate a sign of Allah present in our married life.
وَجَعَلَ بَيۡنَكُم مَّوَدَّةٗ وَرَحۡمَةًۚ
and He placed between you affection and mercy.
Quran, Ar-Rum 30:21
In this verse, Allah mentions the creation of the spouse and mutual tranquility, then He associates with that affection and mercy. These feelings are not mere chance: they are a divine gift. The verse presents them as signs for those who reflect. In our daily lives, we can recognize these signs in moments of tenderness and support within the couple. Being aware of this gift helps us preserve and strengthen it.
Today, express your affection to your spouse with a kind word or a caring gesture, remembering that it is a sign from Allah.
