الْقِسْطُ
This verse teaches us that justice must remain our compass, even when our feelings are stirred.
ٱعۡدِلُواْ هُوَ أَقۡرَبُ لِلتَّقۡوَىٰ
Be just; that is nearer to righteousness.
Quran, Al-Ma'ida 5:8
In this verse, Allah asks believers to be upright witnesses, not letting hatred of a people push them into injustice. He links fairness to righteousness, showing that justice is a path to Him. In our daily lives, we may encounter people we do not like. This verse invites us not to let that aversion influence our decisions, whether in a dispute, a sharing, or a judgment.
Today, before making a decision involving someone you dislike, ask yourself: "Am I being fair?" and act accordingly.
