الْإِيمَانُ
This verse paints the portrait of sincere believers.
إِنَّمَا ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِرَ ٱللَّهُ وَجِلَتۡ قُلُوبُهُمۡ وَإِذَا تُلِيَتۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَايَٰتُهُۥ زَادَتۡهُمۡ إِيمَٰنٗا وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمۡ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ
The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts become fearful, and when His verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith; and upon their Lord they rely.
Quran, Al-Anfal 8:2
This verse brings together three attitudes: a heart moved by the remembrance of Allah, faith that grows when listening to His verses, and complete trust in Him. These signs describe a living faith, manifesting in the heart and in actions. In our daily lives, we can cultivate this sensitivity. By listening to the Quran attentively and reflecting on its meaning, our faith can deepen. And by relying on Allah in our difficulties, we strengthen our trust in Him.
Today, listen to a short passage of the Quran with focus, then note in your heart one thing for which you rely on Allah.
