الْعَدْلُ
This verse calls us to be witnesses of justice, even if it goes against our own interests.
كُونُواْ قَوَّـٰمِينَ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِ شُهَدَآءَ لِلَّهِ وَلَوۡ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِكُمۡ
Be persistently standing firm in justice, witnesses for Allah, even if it be against yourselves.
Quran, An-Nisa 4:135
In this verse, Allah asks believers to be firm in justice and to testify for Him, even if it goes against themselves, their parents, or their relatives. Justice must not be influenced by wealth or poverty, for Allah knows better what is in everyone's best interest. In our daily lives, this means we must be honest and fair, even when it disadvantages us or displeases our loved ones. Following our personal desires leads us away from justice.
Today, if you witness a situation, decide to report the facts accurately, even if it costs you or displeases someone.
