الرَّجَاءُ
This verse is a direct call not to despair of Allah's mercy.
لَا تَقۡنَطُواْ مِن رَّحۡمَةِ ٱللَّهِۚ
Do not despair of the mercy of Allah.
Quran, Az-Zumar 39:53
Allah addresses those who have transgressed against themselves. He tells them not to despair of His mercy. He reminds them that He forgives all sins. This verse opens a path of return without trivializing faults. The following verse invites to return to Allah and submit to Him. Thus, hope is not an excuse to continue, but a call to turn sincerely to Him.
Today, if you feel overwhelmed by a sin, remember this verse and sincerely ask Allah for forgiveness.
