This verse reminds us that we are accountable for what we hear, see, and think.
And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the heart - about all those [one] will be questioned.
Quran, Al-Isra 17:36
In this verse, Allah forbids us from pursuing what we have no knowledge of. The text states that we will be questioned about hearing, sight, and the heart. This responsibility invites us to be mindful of what we listen to, watch, and hold to be true. In our daily lives, we are often exposed to unverified information. This verse invites us to verify before sharing, not to judge without proof, and to use our faculties with discernment.
Today, before sharing any piece of information, take a moment to verify its source and truthfulness.
