هِدَايَة
This verse is a simple and profound request addressed to Allah.
ٱهۡدِنَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِيمَ
Guide us to the straight path
Quran, Al-Faatiha 1:6
In Surah Al-Fatiha, after affirming that we worship Allah and seek His help, we ask Him to guide us. The following verse clarifies this path: the path of those upon whom He has bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked His anger or are astray. Thus, the guidance requested is that which leads to righteousness and divine favor. This request can be made at any time. It reminds us that we need Allah to choose what is good in our daily lives, in our decisions and relationships.
Today, before a decision, even a small one, silently make this request: "Guide me to the straight path."
