إِيمَان
This verse describes the complete faith of those who follow guidance.
Who believe in what has been revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what was revealed before you, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith].
Quran, Al-Baqara 2:4
This verse brings together two essential aspects of faith: believing in the Quran revealed to the Prophet ﷺ and believing in the scriptures revealed before him. It also associates certainty in the Hereafter. This faith is not partial: it embraces all divine revelation. In our daily lives, this invites us to respect earlier messages while following the Quran, and to live with the awareness that our actions have weight for the Hereafter. This certainty gives meaning to our daily choices.
Today, reflect on a scripture revealed before the Quran and thank Allah for guiding us to the Quran.
