فَلَاح
This verse associates divine guidance with true success.
أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ عَلَىٰ هُدٗى مِّن رَّبِّهِمۡۖ وَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ
Those are upon guidance from their Lord, and those are the successful.
Quran, Al-Baqara 2:5
The verse describes two realities for the same group: they are guided by their Lord and they are the successful. It does not say that guidance produces success, but it joins them in one announcement. This success (falāḥ) evokes a deep fulfillment, here and in the hereafter. In daily life, we often seek success in our projects. This verse invites us to consider divine guidance as an essential reference. Following this guidance means directing our choices toward what is good and right.
Today, before a decision, ask yourself: 'What does Allah's guidance suggest here?' Then act accordingly.
