يَقِين
This verse describes those who are certain that they will meet their Lord and return to Him.
ٱلَّذِينَ يَظُنُّونَ أَنَّهُم مُّلَٰقُواْ رَبِّهِمۡ وَأَنَّهُمۡ إِلَيۡهِ رَٰجِعُونَ
who are certain that they will meet their Lord and that they will return to Him.
Quran, Al-Baqara 2:46
In the previous verse, Allah advises seeking help through patience and prayer. He notes that prayer is difficult except for the humble. This verse defines these humble ones: they are certain of meeting their Lord and returning to Him. This certainty eases the effort. When we know we will return to Allah, patience and prayer become easier. Today, we can cultivate this certainty by reminding ourselves of our return to Him.
Before your next prayer, take a minute to remind yourself that you will meet your Lord, then perform your prayer with this certainty.
