تَقْوَى
This verse invites us to realize that one Day, every soul will stand alone before its deeds.
وَٱتَّقُواْ يَوۡمٗا لَّا تَجۡزِي نَفۡسٌ عَن نَّفۡسٖ شَيۡـٔٗا
And fear a Day when no soul will suffice for another soul at all.
Quran, Al-Baqara 2:48
In this verse, Allah asks us to fear the Day of Judgment. On that Day, no one will be able to help another person, even a close relative. No intercession will be accepted, no compensation will be taken, and no one will be aided. It is a powerful reminder: our deeds matter and we will be responsible for them. This awareness helps us live with more seriousness and sincerity. We know that our choices have consequences. So today, we can act with this in mind, striving to be fair and kind.
Take a moment to reflect on one action you can improve today, thinking of the Day when you will stand alone before your deeds.
