The Recommendation of Abraham and Jacob

Abraham and Jacob recommend their children to remain submitted to Allah until death.

وَوَصَّىٰ بِهَآ إِبۡرَٰهِـۧمُ بَنِيهِ وَيَعۡقُوبُ يَٰبَنِيَّ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱصۡطَفَىٰ لَكُمُ ٱلدِّينَ فَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنتُم مُّسۡلِمُونَ

And Abraham instructed his sons [to do the same] and [so did] Jacob, [saying], "O my sons, indeed Allah has chosen for you this religion, so do not die except while you are Muslims."

Quran, Al-Baqara 2:132

This verse shows Abraham and Jacob recommending their children to remain submitted to Allah until death. They emphasize that Allah has chosen this religion for them, and they must persevere in this submission.

This recommendation invites us to convey to our loved ones the importance of staying faithful to Allah in all circumstances, until the very last moment of our lives.
