وَلِّ وَجْهَكَ
This verse teaches us an essential truth for our prayer.
فَوَلِّ وَجۡهَكَ شَطۡرَ ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ ٱلۡحَرَامِۖ
Turn your face toward the Sacred Mosque.
Quran, Al-Baqara 2:149
Allah commands the Prophet ﷺ, and through him all believers, to face the Sacred Mosque during prayer, wherever they are. This orientation is a truth from our Lord, and He is not unaware of what we do. In our daily lives, this reminds us that each prayer is a moment of connection with Allah, no matter the place. We may feel lost or scattered, but by turning toward the Qibla, we unite in a single spiritual direction.
