Fear Only Allah

This verse invites us to turn our hearts to Allah alone.

فَلَا تَخۡشَوۡهُمۡ وَٱخۡشَوۡنِي

So fear them not, but fear Me.

Quran, Al-Baqara 2:150

In this passage, Allah commands believers to turn toward the Sacred Mosque. He clarifies that this direction should not be driven by fear of criticism. Only the wrongdoers might object, but their words should not influence us.

Allah asks us to fear only Him. This reverential fear frees us from the gaze of others. It guides us to what is right and completes His favors upon us.

Today, before acting, ask yourself: 'Am I seeking to please Allah or to avoid people's judgment?' Then perform a sincere action for Him.
