This verse warns us against consuming others' wealth unjustly and bribing judges.
And do not consume one another's wealth unjustly or send it [in bribery] to the rulers in order that [they might aid] you [to] consume a portion of the wealth of the people in sin, while you know [it is unlawful].
Quran, Al-Baqara 2:188
This verse forbids consuming others' wealth unjustly. It also mentions bribing judges to consume a portion of people's wealth knowingly. In our daily lives, this calls us to be scrupulous in our transactions and never to seek what is not rightfully ours through dishonest means.
Today, review one of your recent transactions and ensure it was fair and transparent.
