تَقْوَى
This verse teaches us that true goodness is to fear Allah.
وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱلۡبِرَّ مَنِ ٱتَّقَىٰۗ
But righteousness is [in] one who fears Allah.
Quran, Al-Baqara 2:189
People asked the Prophet about the new moons. The verse answers that they are for measuring time and for Hajj. Then it corrects a habit: entering houses from the back is not an act of righteousness. Righteousness is the fear of Allah. One should enter through the doors. This principle applies to our daily life: piety is not just about outward gestures. It shows in our upright choices and our fear of Allah. Acting righteously means following the simple and just path, like entering through the door.
Today, choose a simple and upright action that you will do with the awareness that Allah sees you, and do it.
