This verse invites us to spend for Allah and to do good.
Spend in the way of Allah, do not throw yourselves with your own hands into destruction, and do good. Allah loves the doers of good.
Quran, Al-Baqara 2:195
The verse brings together three things: spending in the way of Allah, not throwing oneself into destruction, and doing good. It does not specify what destruction is, but it calls us to avoid anything that could harm us. Allah loves those who do good. In our daily lives, we can give our time, money, or energy to help others. Doing good means acting with kindness and generosity, as Allah loves.
Today, perform a concrete act of good: give a small amount to someone in need or help someone with a task.
