ٱتۡقَىٰ
This verse invites us to remember Allah during specified days and to act with piety.
وَٱذۡكُرُواْ ٱللَّهَ فِيٓ أَيَّامٖ مَّعۡدُودَٰتٖۚ فَمَن تَعَجَّلَ فِي يَوۡمَيۡنِ فَلَآ إِثۡمَ عَلَيۡهِ وَمَن تَأَخَّرَ فَلَآ إِثۡمَ عَلَيۡهِۖ لِمَنِ ٱتَّقَىٰۗ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ أَنَّكُمۡ إِلَيۡهِ تُحۡشَرُونَ
And remember Allah during [specific] numbered days. Then whoever hastens [his departure] in two days - there is no sin upon him; and whoever delays [until the third] - there is no sin upon him - for him who fears Allah. And fear Allah and know that unto Him you will be gathered.
Quran, Al-Baqara 2:203
The verse mentions the remembrance of Allah on specific days. It clarifies that the one who fears Allah may leave after two days or stay longer, without sin. Piety is thus associated with ease in performing rituals. In our daily lives, we can apply this by taking time to remember Allah, even briefly, and by acting with integrity. Piety helps us make good choices, without stress or guilt.
Today, take a minute to sincerely remember Allah, asking Him to help you act with piety.
