ٱتَّقَوۡاْ
This verse comforts those who are ridiculed for their faith.
وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوۡاْ فَوۡقَهُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۗ
But those who fear Allah are above them on the Day of Resurrection.
Quran, Al-Baqara 2:212
The verse brings together two realities: the present life made attractive for those who disbelieve, and their mockery of the believers. It also mentions that the pious will be above them on the Day of Resurrection. This elevation is a reason for patience in the face of ridicule. When one feels mocked for faith, one can remember that Allah's justice will prevail. Mockery is fleeting, while the dignity of the pious is lasting.
Today, if someone mocks your faith, respond with silence or a kind word, and remember that the pious will be raised high.
