رَحْمَة
This verse teaches us that faith and good deeds lead to hoping for Allah's mercy.
يَرۡجُونَ رَحۡمَتَ ٱللَّهِۚ
those expect the mercy of Allah
Quran, Al-Baqara 2:218
The verse associates faith, emigration, and striving in Allah's cause with hoping for His mercy. It does not promise that these actions automatically earn it, but it links them to confident expectation. Allah is described as Forgiving and Merciful, which encourages this hope. In our daily lives, we can cultivate this hope by performing acts of faith and goodness, even small ones. Hoping for Allah's mercy helps us persevere despite our shortcomings.
Today, do a good deed, like helping someone or making an extra prayer, while hoping for Allah's mercy.
