إِصْلَاح
This verse teaches us how to treat orphans with kindness.
قُلۡ إِصۡلَاحٞ لَّهُمۡ خَيۡرٞۖ وَإِن تُخَالِطُوهُمۡ فَإِخۡوَٰنُكُمۡۚ
Say, "Improvement for them is best, and if you mix your affairs with theirs, they are your brothers."
Quran, Al-Baqara 2:220
In this passage, Allah answers a question about orphans. He affirms that seeking their well-being is the best attitude. If we share their daily life, they are considered brothers and sisters in religion. Allah knows the one who harms and the one who acts rightly. Today, we can apply this by treating orphans as family members. Helping them with studies, listening to them, or simply including them in our activities are concrete ways to do good for them.
Take a moment today to contact an orphan you know or an organization that supports them, and offer your help.
