العَقْل
Allah explains His verses to us so that we may use our reason.
كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَعۡقِلُونَ
Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you might use reason.
Quran, Al-Baqara 2:242
This verse concludes a passage about the rights of divorced women. Allah shows that He clearly explains His teachings. The goal is that we understand them with our intellect. It is not just about reading, but about reflecting on the meaning and wisdom behind each command. In our daily lives, we can apply this by taking time to meditate on what we read.
