نَفَقَة
This verse compares spending in the way of Allah to a seed that grows seven spikes, each with a hundred grains.
مَّثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمۡوَٰلَهُمۡ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ كَمَثَلِ حَبَّةٍ أَنۢبَتَتۡ سَبۡعَ سَنَابِلَ فِي كُلِّ سُنۢبُلَةٖ مِّاْئَةُ حَبَّةٖۗ وَٱللَّهُ يُضَٰعِفُ لِمَن يَشَآءُۚ وَٱللَّهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ
The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.

The verse brings together two images: generosity and growth. A single seed can produce seven spikes, and each spike carries a hundred grains. This shows that sincere spending is never lost: it bears abundant fruit. In our daily lives, giving may seem to reduce what we own. But this verse invites us to see generosity as an investment. Allah knows our intentions, and He is the One who grants abundance.
Today, give a small amount or an item to someone in need, without expecting anything in return.
