This verse describes those who spend their wealth by night and by day, secretly and openly.
Those who spend their wealth by night and by day, secretly and publicly, will have their reward with their Lord; no fear will be upon them, nor will they grieve.
Quran, Al-Baqara 2:274
The verse brings together several ways of spending: night and day, secretly and openly. It shows that generosity is not limited to a specific time or manner. The reward comes from Allah, and those who do so are promised security and peace of mind. In our daily lives, we can give without waiting for a special occasion. A discreet gift to a relative, a visible donation to a charity: every gesture counts. What matters is sincerity and consistency.
Today, make a donation, even a small one, secretly or openly, and vary the timing: for example, give a little in the morning and a little in the evening.
