This verse invites us to live with piety while keeping in mind the day we will return to Allah.
Fear a Day when you will be returned to Allah. Then every soul will be compensated for what it earned, and they will not be treated unjustly.
Quran, Al-Baqara 2:281
This verse calls us to piety (taqwa) by reminding us of the Day of Return. On that day, everyone will receive exactly what they have earned, without injustice. This awareness of returning to Allah encourages us to act with righteousness and sincerity. In our daily life, this awareness helps us make just choices, even when no one is watching. It invites us to cultivate honesty, generosity, and a sense of responsibility.
Today, before acting, ask yourself: 'Does this action bring me closer to Allah?' Then perform a good deed, even a small one, with that intention.
