Everything is known to Allah

This verse reminds us that nothing escapes Allah, even our most secret thoughts.

وَإِن تُبۡدُواْ مَا فِيٓ أَنفُسِكُمۡ أَوۡ تُخۡفُوهُ يُحَاسِبۡكُم بِهِ ٱللَّهُ

Whether you show what is within yourselves or conceal it, Allah will bring you to account for it.

Quran, Al-Baqara 2:284

This verse affirms that Allah owns everything in the heavens and the earth. He therefore knows perfectly our actions, words, and even our thoughts. Whether we show what we feel or keep it hidden, all is known to Him and will be accounted for.

This reality invites us to be sincere. We cannot deceive Allah, so we might as well be honest with ourselves and others. This helps us purify our intentions and act rightly, even when no one sees us.
