الصَّابِرِينَ
This verse brings together five qualities that illuminate the believer's path.
ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ وَٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ وَٱلۡقَٰنِتِينَ وَٱلۡمُنفِقِينَ وَٱلۡمُسۡتَغۡفِرِينَ بِٱلۡأَسۡحَارِ
The patient, the true, the obedient, those who spend, and those who seek forgiveness before dawn.
Quran, Al-Imran 3:17
The verse follows the description of those who ask for forgiveness and protection. It associates patience with truthfulness, obedience, spending, and seeking forgiveness before dawn. These qualities complement each other. In our daily lives, we can cultivate these attitudes. Patience helps us remain steady. Truthfulness makes us trustworthy. Obedience guides us. Spending opens us to others. Seeking forgiveness before dawn soothes the heart.
Today, before dawn, ask Allah's forgiveness for a specific fault, with sincerity.
