شَهِدَ اللَّهُ
This verse brings together three witnesses to the oneness of God.
شَهِدَ ٱللَّهُ أَنَّهُۥ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ وَٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ وَأُوْلُواْ ٱلۡعِلۡمِ قَآئِمَۢا بِٱلۡقِسۡطِۚ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ
Allah witnesses that there is no deity except Him, and [so do] the angels and those of knowledge - [that He is] maintaining [creation] in justice. There is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
Quran, Al-Imran 3:18
Allah, the angels, and the people of knowledge together testify that there is no god but Him. This testimony unites the Creator, His angelic creatures, and knowledgeable humans. It affirms that Allah maintains justice and that He is Mighty and Wise. In the face of this testimony, we can choose to place our trust in Allah. This certainty may help us find inner peace, without being a promise from the verse.
