يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ
This verse reminds us that Allah's knowledge encompasses everything, even our most secret thoughts.
وَيَعۡلَمُ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ
He knows all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth.
Quran, Al-Imran 3:29
In this verse, Allah tells the Prophet to say that nothing escapes Him, whether we conceal our thoughts or reveal them. He knows what is in the heavens and on the earth, and He is capable of all things. This verse follows a call to sincerity in our relationships and precedes the reminder of the Day when everyone will see their deeds. This invites us to cultivate an inner awareness: Allah sees and knows everything. This certainty can help us act righteously, even when no one is watching.
