Zechariah turns to his Lord

At a decisive moment, Zechariah makes a sincere prayer to Allah.

هُنَالِكَ دَعَا زَكَرِيَّا رَبَّهُۥۖ قَالَ رَبِّ هَبۡ لِي مِن لَّدُنكَ ذُرِّيَّةٗ طَيِّبَةًۖ إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ ٱلدُّعَآءِ

At that, Zechariah called upon his Lord, saying, "My Lord, grant me from Yourself a good offspring. Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication."

Quran, Al-Imran 3:38

This verse follows the scene where Zechariah sees Mary receiving miraculous provision. He understands Allah's power. He does not remain passive: he calls upon Him. He asks for excellent offspring, acknowledging that Allah hears all.

In our lives, we can turn to Allah for our needs, big or small. Like Zechariah, we can ask with confidence, knowing that He listens.

Today, make a personal supplication: ask Allah for something specific that is dear to you, with the certainty that He hears you.
