أَنْصَار
When Jesus sought supporters for Allah, his disciples responded with faith and submission.
نَحۡنُ أَنصَارُ ٱللَّهِ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ وَٱشۡهَدۡ بِأَنَّا مُسۡلِمُونَ
"We are supporters of Allah. We have believed in Allah and testify that we are Muslims [submitting to Him]."
Quran, Al-Imran 3:52
In this verse, Jesus senses disbelief around him and asks, "Who are my supporters for the cause of Allah?" The disciples reply by declaring themselves supporters of Allah. They link this support to two things: faith in Allah and submission to Him. The word 'ansar' here means those who aid Allah's cause. Today, we can be supporters of Allah by believing sincerely and living our submission daily. It does not require great means, but a right intention and simple acts.
Today, perform a small act of submission: pray a prayer on time or do a good deed silently, telling yourself you are supporting Allah's cause.
