Know what you know, admit what you don't

This verse invites us not to argue without knowledge.

وَٱللَّهُ يَعۡلَمُ وَأَنتُمۡ لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ

But Allah knows, while you know not.

Quran, Al-Imran 3:66

In this verse, Allah addresses those who argue about Abraham without having knowledge of it. He reminds them that they have already argued about what they know, but they venture into what they do not know. The end of the verse establishes an essential truth: Allah knows, and we do not know.

In our daily lives, we often talk about topics we do not master well. This verse invites us to intellectual humility: recognize our limits and not assert what we do not know. This protects us from error and opens us to learning.

Before speaking about a topic today, ask yourself: 'Do I have real knowledge?' If not, say: 'I do not know, Allah knows best.'
