وَلِيّ
This verse reminds us who are the true close ones of Abraham and what our relationship with Allah is.
وَٱللَّهُ وَلِيُّ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
And Allah is the ally of the believers.
Quran, Al-Imran 3:68
This verse states that the closest people to Abraham are those who followed him, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and the believers. It is not about ethnicity or history, but about faith and obedience. Allah is the ally of the believers: He supports and protects them. In our daily lives, we may feel alone or overwhelmed. But this verse assures us that Allah is with us. We can strengthen this alliance by following Abraham's example: sincere submission to Allah.
Today, recite this verse and reflect on the fact that Allah is your ally. Then perform an act of submission, such as a voluntary prayer or an act of kindness.
