اعتصام
This verse teaches us that holding firmly to Allah leads to the straight path.
وَمَن يَعۡتَصِم بِٱللَّهِ فَقَدۡ هُدِيَ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٖ مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ
And whoever holds firmly to Allah has indeed been guided to a straight path.
Quran, Al-Imran 3:101
In this verse, Allah reminds the believers that they have received His signs and His messenger. Despite this, some might doubt. The solution is to hold fast to Him. The word 'iʿtiṣām' means to cling, to seek refuge and protection with Allah. In our daily lives, we face doubts and temptations. Holding fast to Allah means asking Him for help and guidance, trusting Him. This stabilizes us and enlightens us.
Today, before any action, say inwardly: 'I hold fast to You, Allah, guide me.'
