This verse teaches us how to respond to hostility.
But if you are patient and fear Allah, their plot will not harm you at all. Indeed, Allah is encompassing of what they do.
Quran, Al-Imran 3:120
The verse describes people who are distressed by our good and rejoice at our harm. In response, it pairs two qualities: patience and piety. Together, they prevent their schemes from harming us. In our daily lives, we may encounter jealous or hostile people. Instead of reacting with anger, we can choose patience and remain aware that Allah sees everything. This trust frees us from their influence.
Today, when faced with a hostile remark, take a deep breath and respond with a kind word or stay silent, entrusting the situation to Allah.
