The Race to Forgiveness

This verse invites us to hasten towards Allah's forgiveness and an immense Paradise.

وَسَارِعُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ مَغۡفِرَةٖ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرۡضُهَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ وَٱلۡأَرۡضُ أُعِدَّتۡ لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ

And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a garden as wide as the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteous.

Quran, Al-Imran 3:133

The previous verse asks us to obey Allah and the Messenger. Here, Allah encourages us to rush towards His forgiveness and a Paradise whose width equals the heavens and the earth. This Garden is prepared for the righteous, those who fear Allah and follow His commands.

In our daily lives, we can hasten towards forgiveness by doing good deeds and avoiding sins. Every good action, every effort to obey Allah brings us closer to this goal.

Today, do a good deed quickly, like helping someone or making an extra prayer, thinking that you are racing towards Allah's forgiveness.
