أَجَل
This verse reminds us that every life has a set term determined by Allah.
وَمَا كَانَ لِنَفۡسٍ أَن تَمُوتَ إِلَّا بِإِذۡنِ ٱللَّهِ كِتَٰبٗا مُّؤَجَّلٗا
No one can die except by Allah's permission, at a decree determined.
Quran, Al-Imran 3:145
This verse states that death only occurs by Allah's will and at an appointed time. It also mentions that whoever desires the reward of this world receives it, and whoever desires the reward of the Hereafter receives it as well. In our daily lives, this certainty helps us accept events with serenity, while encouraging us to direct our efforts toward what is lasting.
