دُعَاء
This verse shows us the supplication of the believers in times of trial.
رَبَّنَا ٱغۡفِرۡ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَإِسۡرَافَنَا فِيٓ أَمۡرِنَا وَثَبِّتۡ أَقۡدَامَنَا وَٱنصُرۡنَا عَلَى ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
"Our Lord, forgive us our sins and the excess in our affairs, plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people."
Quran, Al-Imran 3:147
In this verse, the believers who fought alongside the prophets do not ask for revenge. They supplicate Allah for forgiveness of their sins and excesses, for firmness in battle, and for victory over the disbelievers. This supplication combines repentance, trust in Allah, and a request for help. In our daily lives, we too can turn to Allah in difficult moments. Instead of complaining or despairing, we can ask Him for forgiveness, strength, and success. This supplication teaches us to combine humility and determination.
Today, recite this supplication after a prayer, pondering its meaning.
