قَدَر
This verse invites us not to be consumed by regrets.
وَٱللَّهُ يُحۡيِۦ وَيُمِيتُۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ بَصِيرٞ
It is Allah who gives life and causes death. And Allah is Seeing of what you do.
Quran, Al-Imran 3:156
The verse condemns the attitude of those who say: 'If they had stayed, they would not have died.' Such words only produce futile regrets. In reality, life and death are in the hands of Allah alone. When faced with a trial, we may be tempted to dwell on the past. But that changes nothing. Instead, we are invited to trust Allah and focus on what we can do today.
Today, if a regretful thought comes to you, say: 'It was Allah's decree' and perform a good deed.
