إِخْلَاص
This verse invites us to examine the coherence between our words and our intentions.
يَقُولُونَ بِأَفۡوَٰهِهِم مَّا لَيۡسَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمۡۚ
They say with their mouths what is not in their hearts.
Quran, Al-Imran 3:167
In this verse, Allah describes people whose words do not reflect their inner faith. Their hypocrisy is exposed, and Allah knows perfectly what they conceal. This reminds us that sincerity (ikhlāṣ) is essential: our actions and words must be in harmony with our hearts. In daily life, we may be tempted to say what others want to hear, even if it does not match our conviction. This verse encourages us to cultivate inner coherence, to be truthful in our commitments, and to purify our intentions.
Today, before speaking, ask yourself if your words truly reflect what you think and believe.
