اِسْتِجَابَة
This verse praises those who respond to the call of Allah and His Messenger, even after being wounded.
ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسۡتَجَابُواْ لِلَّهِ وَٱلرَّسُولِ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَآ أَصَابَهُمُ ٱلۡقَرۡحُۚ
Those who responded to Allah and the Messenger after injury had struck them...
Quran, Al-Imran 3:172
The verse describes believers who, despite their wounds, respond to the call of Allah and His Messenger. It associates this response with faith and promises a great reward to those who do good and fear Allah. In our lives, we may be tempted to give up after a trial. Yet faith invites us to continue, to respond to calls for good, even when we are weakened.
Today, respond to a call for good (help someone, join a collective action) even if you feel tired or hurt.
