خِزْي
This verse teaches us to implore Allah to protect us from the Fire, for entering it is a humiliation.
مَن تُدۡخِلِ ٱلنَّارَ فَقَدۡ أَخۡزَيۡتَهُۥ
Whoever You admit to the Fire - You have disgraced him.
Quran, Al-Imran 3:192
Following the previous verse, those who reflect on Allah's creation ask Him to protect them from the punishment of the Fire. Here, they acknowledge that the Fire is a true disgrace for whoever enters it. It is not only a physical punishment but also a moral degradation. This awareness nourishes our hope: we know Allah's mercy is immense, but we remain humble. We ask Him to protect us from any situation that would lower us. This encourages us to act righteously, not out of fear, but out of love for our dignity.
Today, take a moment to say: 'My Lord, protect me from the Fire and from humiliation.'
