إِيمَان
This verse shows how believers respond to the call of faith and ask for forgiveness.
سَمِعۡنَا مُنَادِيٗا يُنَادِي لِلۡإِيمَٰنِ أَنۡ ءَامِنُواْ بِرَبِّكُمۡ فَـَٔامَنَّا
We heard a caller inviting to faith: 'Believe in your Lord,' and we believed.
Quran, Al-Imran 3:193
In this verse, the believers describe their reaction to the call of faith: they listen, then they believe. Then they turn to Allah to ask forgiveness for their sins and the removal of their misdeeds. This verse brings together faith and the request for forgiveness. In our daily lives, we can follow this example. Whenever we hear a reminder towards Allah, we can renew our faith and ask forgiveness for our shortcomings.
Today, as soon as you hear a reminder (adhan, Quran recitation, advice), respond inwardly: 'I believe in Allah' and ask His forgiveness for a specific fault.
