نَصِيب
This verse establishes that every man and woman has a right to a share of inheritance.
لِّلرِّجَالِ نَصِيبٞ مِّمَّا تَرَكَ ٱلۡوَٰلِدَانِ وَٱلۡأَقۡرَبُونَ وَلِلنِّسَآءِ نَصِيبٞ مِّمَّا تَرَكَ ٱلۡوَٰلِدَانِ وَٱلۡأَقۡرَبُونَ
For men is a share of what the parents and close relatives leave, and for women is a share of what the parents and close relatives leave.
Quran, An-Nisa 4:7
This verse affirms that both men and women receive a share of the inheritance left by their parents and relatives. This share is fixed, whether the inheritance is small or large. Thus, divine justice guarantees a determined portion for everyone. In our daily lives, we can apply this justice by ensuring that everyone receives what is due to them, without favoritism. This invites us to respect the rights of all, especially in matters of distribution.
