Disobedience Leads to Fire

This verse warns us of the consequences of disobedience.

وَمَن يَعۡصِ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ وَيَتَعَدَّ حُدُودَهُۥ يُدۡخِلۡهُ نَارًا خَٰلِدٗا فِيهَا وَلَهُۥ عَذَابٞ مُّهِينٞ

And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger and transgresses His limits - He will put him into the Fire to abide eternally therein, and he will have a humiliating punishment.

Quran, An-Nisa 4:14

This verse associates disobedience to Allah and His Messenger with transgressing His limits. It announces a grave consequence: entering the Fire and remaining there eternally, with a humiliating punishment. The previous verse promises Gardens to those who obey.

In our daily lives, we may be tempted to cross the limits set by Allah. This verse reminds us of the importance of self-control and vigilance. It is not about feeling guilty, but about realizing that every action has weight.

Today, identify a divine limit you might cross and choose a concrete way to avoid it, such as leaving a risky conversation or remembering Allah.
