This verse teaches us a simple path to forgiveness.
If you avoid the major sins which you are forbidden, We will remove from you your lesser sins and admit you to a noble entrance.
Quran, An-Nisa 4:31
In this verse, Allah promises that if we keep away from major sins (kabāʾir), He will erase our minor misdeeds and grant us an honorable entry into Paradise. It is not about being perfect, but about being mindful of the major prohibitions and avoiding them. In daily life, this means identifying clearly forbidden behaviors and making a sincere effort to flee them. This vigilance protects our hearts and opens the door to divine mercy.
Today, write down one major sin you want to avoid and ask Allah to help you stay away from it.
