This verse invites us to reflect on stinginess and concealing divine blessings.
Who are stingy and enjoin upon [other] people stinginess and conceal what Allah has given them of His bounty.
Quran, An-Nisa 4:37
The verse associates stinginess with commanding others to be stingy and with concealing the blessings Allah has granted. It brings together several blameworthy attitudes that oppose generosity. In our daily lives, we may be tempted to keep our wealth, skills, or time for ourselves. Yet, recognizing that all good comes from Allah encourages us to share with others, without showing off.
Today, share a resource (time, money, skill) with someone in need, without expecting anything in return.
