وَلِيّ
In a context of tension, this verse reminds us of a reassuring truth.
وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ وَلِيّٗا وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ نَصِيرٗا
And sufficient is Allah as an ally, and sufficient is Allah as a helper.
Quran, An-Nisa 4:45
This verse follows a warning about those who try to lead others astray. It affirms that Allah knows our enemies perfectly. Then it combines two essential qualities: He is our ally (walī) and our helper (naṣīr). This means we are never alone in facing difficulties. When we feel vulnerable, we can turn to Him. Placing our trust in Allah does not remove the need for effort, but it calms the heart. We know He watches over us and is able to help us.
Today, before starting a task, say in your heart: 'Allah is sufficient for me as Protector and Helper,' then act with confidence.
