حَسَنَة
This verse teaches us to attribute blessings to Allah and to take responsibility for our own faults.
مَّآ أَصَابَكَ مِنۡ حَسَنَةٖ فَمِنَ ٱللَّهِۖ وَمَآ أَصَابَكَ مِن سَيِّئَةٖ فَمِن نَّفۡسِكَۚ
Whatever good comes to you is from Allah, and whatever evil comes to you is from yourself.
Quran, An-Nisa 4:79
The verse distinguishes two sources: blessings come from Allah, while hardships are linked to our own actions. It is not about seeing everything negatively, but about recognizing Allah's goodness and owning our mistakes. In daily life, this invites us to give thanks for happiness and to reflect on our choices when things go wrong. It is a lesson in humility and responsibility.
Today, note one blessing received and thank Allah, then identify one mistake made and decide to correct it.
